Summerfield Townhouse Service Association # 1 (STSA #1)
In Summerfield, STSA #1 has the distinction of being the first sub-HOA created in the new community where construction started in 1973.
Summerfield Drive is the main thoroughfare through Summerfield, and the first streets with residences were Century Oak Drive and Century Oak Circle; Greens Way with its 54 townhouses (that include five on Summerfield Drive) was started in 1974 and became the first HOA and first group of attached homes.
STSA #1 includes mostly single-level floor plans with a few two-story units. About half of the units back onto the Summerfield Golf Course along Fairway and Hole No. 1, and the other half back onto Summerfield Drive.
STSA #1 includes eight different models ranging from 900 square feet to 2,042 square feet, with most in the 1,200 to 1,300-square foot range. There are eight different models, with Monterey and Pinehurst being the most numerous with 11 homes each; there are 10 Deville models and eight La Costa models with a few Broadmoor, Winston, Montclair and Manchester models.
STSA #1 is an Oregon Non-Profit Corporation registered and incorporated in the State of Oregon. The association is governed by a 5-member Board of Directors elected by the unit owners. Each Board Member serves for a period of two years, and can serve for a second two years, if elected. Two new directors are elected each June at the Annual Meeting to replace those directors whose terms expire.
The Association, through its by-laws, maintains the buildings, grounds, and supplies basic cable television with fees generated by monthly assessments from the residents.
The monthly assessment for each residence is due by the fifth of the month. Some of our residents have found it convenient to pay their assessments in advance and do so by paying either bi-monthly, quarterly, or annually. If you wish to pay in advance, you are welcome to do so.
STSA #1 sponsored social activities which are scheduled at this time are: Annual Meeting and potluck dinner in June, and a catered Christmas dinner in December. Notices are delivered in advance with the dates and times.
When you purchase a residence in STSA #1, you become a member of a 54 -member family of quality friends eager to become acquainted with you and to help you in any way they can.
